Life Lessons

Learning From Life's Lessons

Look at "mistakes" as life's lessons instead of reasons for regrets.

"If only I could turn back time and avoid the mistakes that made my business go under."

It’s because of not taking my partner seriously that they left me.”

These are examples of regrets that some of you might have. Perhaps you aren’t in the financial position you would have wished to be in. Maybe you are nearing 50 and you still haven’t found your footing.

Don't keep blaming yourself for past "failures" and "mistakes". Robert Kiyosaki’s famous quote “Don’t waste a good mistake, learn from it” is aimed at encouraging people to not live with regrets, but rather learn from their mistakes.

If you didn’t fail, how would you know you were ill-prepared? Or if you did get that job, how would you know that your skills are a bit behind? The way you view a mistake will determine how fast you dust yourself and move on.

Would you continue driving while drunk after getting involved in a terrible accident? Of course not!  Mistakes should be viewed as stepping stones and an eye-opener and not a barrier to success or happiness.

If you are living a life of regret, are knee-deep in debt, your partner has issued you divorce papers, your business is getting liquidated, are losing your home... Accept that you made some mistakes, learn from them, and move on.

Don't look back with regret. Look forward with purpose.

I HAVE LEARNED FROM THE MISTAKES OF MY PAST AND NOW MAKE WISE DECISIONS FOR MY LIFE.

Letting Go Of Resentment And Embracing Forgiveness

You cannot harness the power of the Law of attraction with resentment in your heart.

Deciding to forgive someone who has hurt you, is not an easy thing to do. But holding onto resentment hurts you even more than that person did. It can cause psychological problems and serious health problems.

It is essential for your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being to learn the act of forgiveness and to avoid holding grudges.

Figure out the root cause of your grudge

You can only find a solution once you're aware of the problem. Upon reflection, you may realize that you were over-reacting and holding a grudge over a minor issue.

Everything in life has a positive and negative side. Instead of getting angry, try and see it as an invaluable life lesson.

Put yourself in their shoes

At times we may be quick to judge people when they do something that is hurtful to us but try to understand why they felt that they had to do what they did. This does not legitimize their actions, but the better you understand their intentions, the easier you will find it to forgive them.

Share your thoughts with the other person

A grudge could be the result of a misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the facts. Tackle the issue at hand in a calm and non-judgmental way. You may choose to solve it among yourselves or involve a third party as a mediator.

Forgive

Forgiveness does not imply that you will forget the whole incident. It means that you have accepted your differences and have acknowledged that all people are prone to error.

Forgiveness isn’t easy, but it is worth it. It allows you to be free of a burden on your heart, and will bring you peace.
